Using interactive technology and case studies, Karen Michael will discuss how to determine if you have a workplace bully infiltrating the workplace, including identifying signs of workplace bullying and discussing the prevalence of these behaviors.

Learning Objectives:

- To determine if a workplace bully is in the organization
- How to identify signs of bullying, the laws around workplace bullying, investigating the workplace bully and harassment



Karen Michael is the President of Karen Michael, PLC, a work law & HR Consulting Firm specializing in management and leadership training, workplace investigations, HR Consulting & Special Projects, and employment law advice.  

Karen is a workplace expect and employment lawyer who practiced law at McGuire Woods before serving as a First Vice President for Employee Relations at SunTrust Bank.  Karen also taught at the University of Richmond’s School of Continuing Studies for public and private sector students receiving their undergraduate and graduate degrees.  

Karen relies upon her combined 25 years of Human Resources, employment law and teaching experience to bring practical and business –focused advice and services to her clients.   Karen works with the private and public sector in conducting training, investigations, special projects, responding to EEOC Charges and representing government agencies in grievance matters.
