About Courtnee Carrigan: 

With over 15 years’ experience as a nonprofit leader, executive trainer, and strategic facilitator of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, Courtnee combines innovative strategy with effective communication to influence positive change and build organizational capacity.  Throughout Ms. Carrigan’s career she has successfully worked with over 50 non-profits, schools, universities and businesses to implement well-researched and documented methods to improve workforce performance and community relations.

Ms. Carrigan has assembled award-winning curriculums that build awareness and promotes individual and systematic change through common sense actions. She served as Diversity Facilitator for the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, Program Manager for Outreach, Leadership, and Promotions at her alma mater (University of Cincinnati), Director of the Program Development and Community Advocacy at the YWCA Columbus and as the Director of Training for the YWCA USA. In late 2015, Courtnee left the non-profit sector to pursue her dream of starting a company focused on whole system capacity building for organizations and agencies throughout the country. Her goal is to equip individuals and organizations with the critical knowledge, skills, and assistance needed to improve organizational performance. The platforms used to deliver these services are through project management, customized coaching, educational opportunities and skill-building training. 

Courtnee is a recipient of the 2017 Columbus Business First Diversity in Business Award. She is also a graduate of Leadership Columbus, The Ohio Minority Supplier Diversity Council MBE Academy and African American Leadership Academy. Courtnee has served on the board of After-School All-Stars, Columbus Metropolitan Club Program Committee, and The Ohio State University Non-Profit Advisory Committee. She currently serves on the Ohio Association of Non-Profit Organizations Council of Consultants, a member of Columbus Rotary Club, NAWBO Columbus, and Big Brothers Big Sisters African American Advisory Council. 

Courtnee graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a dual major in Communications and African American Studies. Ms. Carrigan has also completed her graduate work in Urban Planning and Community Development from her alma mater, the University of Cincinnati.  

 
About Kelley Walton: 

Kelley Walton, JD, SPHR is a Lecturer and Director of the Master of Athletic Administration program at Ohio University.  She is also an attorney and Consultant specializing in Career Counseling and Human Resources in the Sport Industry.  Prior to working at Ohio University, she was the Director of Human Resources for the Columbus Blue Jackets (National Hockey League club) for its first 10 years of existence.  Her first three years with the Blue Jackets were spent in the legal department.  The last seven were as the Director of Human Resources, overseeing the employment of 150+ full-time and 300+ part-time employees. During that time, she oversaw all efforts involved with recruiting, workers compensation, 401(k) administration, benefit administration, employee contracts, and employee evaluations.  For all 10 years at the Blue Jackets, she oversaw all immigration efforts for the club.  Since leaving the Blue Jackets in 2010, she has taught as full-time and part-time faculty at Ohio University, Ohio State University, Capital University and Ohio Dominican; teaching several subjects including: Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Business Law, Employment Law, Sports Law and Governance. She has a BS in Interpersonal Communication from Eastern Michigan and her JD from Capital University Law School.
