Rachel W. Barb, RACR
Regional Manager, Talent Acquisition at Mount Carmel 

Rachel Barb joined Mount Carmel in November 2002 as an HR Assistant at Mount Carmel West.  She then transitioned into an HR Coordinator role supporting various recruitment initiatives along with HR operational functions.  She transitioned to a Talent Acquisition Specialist in 2005, and later to a Senior Specialist and has recruited for all levels within the organization, most recently focusing on Nursing. In her current role as Manager, Talent Acquisition Operations, Rachel provides functional project management, team leadership, vendor management, and recruiter training.  Rachel also teaches Behavioral Interviewing to new leaders.  She holds a certificate in recruitment and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Cortland College.


Ahmed Abukar, BASc
Director of Workforce Services, Jewish Family Services

Ahmed opens the line of communication between clients, employers, and businesses to get projects done. With over 11 years of workforce experience in both public and nonprofit sectors, Ahmed has experience in management consultation, team building, professional development, strategic implementation, and company collaboration. Ahmed manages many of the workforce programs that help job seekers from entry level to executive level across Central Ohio. He also enjoys building partnerships that will allow him to serve the broader community. Ahmed's main goal is to bridge the gap between clients and employers as well as uplifting individuals into economic growth.

Andrea Applegate, BA, MBA 
President, Applegate Talent Strategies

Andrea Applegate has more than two decades of experience in workforce and talent. She is passionate about helping individuals become great leaders and great bosses. And through her boutique consulting practice, Applegate Talent Strategies, Andrea works with organizations in Ohio and the Midwest to diagnose and address their people problems to improve the productivity of their workforce and increase the profitability--and effectiveness--of their business.   

Amy Moore, Amy K. Moore, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Director of Human Resources, PrimaryOne Health

Amy is a seasoned human resources practitioner with almost 20 years’ experience, mostly in the non-profit sector.  She’s been Director of Human Resources at PrimaryOne Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center, for five years.  In her role at PrimaryOne Health, she enjoys supporting front-line healthcare workers serving our communities’ most vulnerable populations.  Prior to her current role, she has worked in the insurance, manufacturing and service industries in different HR capacities.
